Description:
It's 7 pm on Sunday. You've been camping all weekend. You've finally made it home and have unloaded the unbelievable amount of stuff you need to live simply in the woods. You're about to pop the top off a beer and watch last night's SNL but you decide to throw in a load of laundry first. As you're sorting your lights and darks, you pick up your favorite plaid flannel shirt and you get this whiff. It's a smell that encompasses everything about camping. It's fresh air and bug spray and dirt, it's no to-do list and the beauty of nature and watching the clouds drift across the sky, but mostly it's campfire. It's intoxicating. You bury your nose and breathe deeply. And you remember the chili you cooked over the fire and the leftovers in the cooler and the hot sauce that mirrors all that. Get that washer started, the beer popped, the chili reheated and Weekend Update on the telly. That's how you finish a weekend.
Ingredients:
White distilled vinegar, red fresno peppers, apple cider vinegar, salt, cane sugar, onion, garlic
Serving Suggestions:
Liberally douse a fried egg
Mix with grated parmesan cheese for an amazing addition to your pizza. Or put it right on your pizza.
Add 1/4 cup directly to your chili while simmering
Mix with mayo, garlic and lemon juice for a delicious ao-tle (Aoli meets Chipotle)
Salami, Ritz crackers and Chipotle. Yum.
Mix with ketchup and dip your egg sandwich
Pour directly into your mouth
